CARS
YOU DO OR YOU DON'T

You do not own a car, you are its caretaker. If you do not take care of the car, the car
will not take care of you. Give the car what it needs, when it needs it, and chances are
it’ll run forever.

I have had a bond with every vehicle I have ever owned. There is just a connection between
the vehicle and me, one I can not describe. It is man and machine, turned into one moving
being, hurtling down the road at speeds our own legs would never carry us.

You either get it, or you don’t. When you are reading this, shaking your head and speaking
“It’s just a car,” in your mind you don’t, end of the line. Get out. Don’t try to understand,
because you never will.

To me, a car has a soul, very similar to a living being. Only the heart is made of cast
iron, and fuel runs in its veins.

I believe cars are meant to be driven. Take out those cars from yester year, enjoy them,
drive them, and let others admire that piece of automotive history. Don’t let them fade
away in your garage, only to be taken around the block every once in a while. You might
get into an accident, a rock might chip your paint and so on and so on. Right, like people
don’t understand me, I will not try to understand folk using a trailer to get their road
legal cars everywhere. But I can not help but state you are robbing yourself and others
of great pleasure.

The Interceptor is the car I always wanted, but most likely will never obtain. Maybe, one
day, I will drive something that comes close. Some will say it’s a cheap knock off, a
wannabe. Myself? I wouldn’t care what others think. It is my mode of transportation, and
I would trust it with my life. It’s done in the spirit of the original. Two B’s and a V…
Big… Black and a V8… That’s all you need, all you will ever need. What you definitely won’t
need is a bucket and a sponge.

If Max had lived in the USA, would he not drive a:
-70’s Torino-?
-69 Fastback-?

You be the judge…

The interceptor is what you want it to be, like beauty, it is in the eyes of the beholder…
