Maxrockatansky.org is a page about Max Rockatansky, the main character in the Mad Max
Movies. This page is created and maintained by me, Cees Vendrig.
I have roamed the wastelands of the internet a long time before this page was erected.
I started on April 19th 2000 with a page called "Mad Max 2000". The page still exists
today, and it is listed on top if you search for "Mad Max 2000" on google.com.
It was never quite finished, and I stopped updating the site on March 18th 2001. It was
during and after this period I established contact with the creator of roadwarriorforever.com
(formally max.org). I supplied her with numerous screen caps she used in her flash animations.
We talked a lot about our sites, and also about how to arrange a domain as mine was hosted on
tripod. The conversations stopped abruptly. It was a shock when I learned she had died in a car
accident January 5th 2003. This page has been dedicated to her, as you can read here:
It literally took years before I picked up the digital pencil again, and with help of a friend
I registered maxrockatansky.org in 2004. I erected a page, but due to circumstances I had to
pull it off again. In March 2006 I started working on the new site you now see.
The site consists of altered screenshots and images obtained via scanning printed media or the
internet. And it will continue to grow, when time goes by. |
